SUMMARY :

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care within a dynamic team environment. You will utilize your nursing skills to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients in emergency situations. Your experience and expertise will contribute to an excellent overall experience for our patients and their families.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Assessment : Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients. Utilize exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills. Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and document all findings to ensure comprehensive care for patients and their families.
• Planning & Implementation : Collaborate with the interdisciplinary health team to develop and document individualized care plans. Maintain strong nurse-patient relationships while ensuring an exceptional experience for patients and their families.
• Evaluation & Education : Evaluate and document patient responses to care, revising care plans as needed. Ensure patients receive relevant education tailored to their understanding and needs.
• Training : Mentor new team members and nursing students, serving as a resource for clinical and non-clinical matters on the unit.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS :

BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)

RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :

M - Medium Work - Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.
