Job Duties :

The surgical technologists / first assistant is responsible for ensuring the operating room environment is safe, equipment functions properly, and the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety.

The surgical technologist / first assistant handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.

Required Certifications & Licensure :

Education : Trade or Technical School (Certificate or diploma)

Certifications : NBSTSA / CSFA Certification required, BLS is mandatory within three months
