Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Concord, North Carolina (NC), 28025

Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU), Teaching Hospital, Trauma Level III, Chest Pain & Stroke Center of Excellence

Start Date : October 6, 2025

End Date : January 3, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00pm – 7 : 00am)

Hours per Week : 36 guaranteed

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780 - $1910

Patient Ratio : 1 : 2

Scrub Color : Navy

Parking : Free on-site

Floating : Required within the region and scope of practice; paid travel time between facilities if floating mid-shift

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state (required for travel nursing jobs in NC)

Minimum 2 years of recent critical care nursing experience (CVICU experience strongly preferred)

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications

Proficient in management of vasoactive medications, surgical drains, chest tubes, ventilators, and CRRT

Experience with invasive lines (arterial lines, PA catheters, transvenous pacemakers) and cardiac devices (IABP, Impella)

Epic EMR experience preferred

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including STEMI, cardiogenic shock, cardiac arrest, and post-thoracic surgery

Monitor and manage invasive cardiac devices and lines

Collaborate with intensivists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Float to other regional facilities as needed, maintaining high standards of patient care

Utilize advanced clinical technology and equipment, including Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors

Maintain accurate nursing documentation and uphold patient safety protocols
