The Northwell Center for Liver Disease and
Transplantation and the Division of Hepatology at Northwell Health
are actively seeking full-time academic Transplant Hepatologists to
join our expansive network in the following locations :
Suffolk
County
Westchester
These critical
roles involve overseeing the medical care of patients with liver
diseases, including those in need of liver transplantation. The
position is open to candidates at the assistant, associate, and
professor of medicine levels, depending on qualifications and
experience. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and treating
liver conditions, assessing eligibility for liver transplantation,
overseeing both pre- and post-transplant care, and educating
medical students, residents, and GI and Transplant Hepatology
fellows. Candidates should be BE / BC in Gastroenterology and
Transplant Hepatology, with proven expertise in General and
Transplant Hepatology as well as endoscopy. The role demands
excellence in clinical and diagnostic skills, strong communication
and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork and patient
care, and eligibility for medical licensure in New York State.
Additionally, the position is suitable for individuals at various
stages of their academic careers, including assistant, associate,
and full professor levels. Experience in academic research and / or
teaching is highly valued and will be considered a significant
advantage.
