Job descriptionPatient Demographics : Adults Patient Volume / Census : 20 patients per day in clinic Admissions : Yes Rounding : Included Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : General Urology, inpatient and outpatient procedures No. of Beds in Department : 99 Trauma Level : Adult Level IV EMR System : Cerner Office Equipment Available : Disposable flexible stethoscopes Specialty Backup Available : PA support (1 PA assigned) Support Staff Available : 1 PA, no other MDs Reason for Coverage : Locum support for ongoing coverage needs Hospital Privileges Required : Yes Temporary Privileges Available : Yes (approx. 30 days credentialing) Credentialing Timeline : 30 days COVID-19 Vaccine : Required (medical / religious exemptions allowed) Flu Vaccine : Required (medical / religious exemptions allowed) Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES General Urology procedures OR Surgeries (34 per day) Vasectomy (in-clinic) Infant circumcision outpatient (not required) Licenses : Active Arizona license or IMLC accepted Board : BC / BE in Urology DEA : Required CSR : Not required Certifications : None specified Experience : Minimum 1 year in specialty Other Qualifications : Proficiency with Cerner EMR Provide inpatient and outpatient Urology coverage Perform general urologic surgeries and procedures Manage clinic patients and inpatient consults Participate in on-call rotation as assigned Collaborate with PA and hospital staff to ensure continuity of care Complete documentation in Cerner EMR accurately and timely Maintain compliance with facility credentialing and vaccination requirements
