RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Work day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM with potential to work past 3 : 00 PM as needed
• Full-time position with 1 : 1 nurse to patient ratio
• Weekend requirements included
• On-call responsibilities required
• Float only within OR department, not outside of OR
• CVOR experience required
• Minimum one year recent experience in surgical setting required
• Five years surgical scrub experience required
• Current Louisiana RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• ACLS certification from AHA required
• Responsible for delivering individualized nursing care to patients having surgical interventions
• Perform nursing interventions utilizing the nursing process including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care
• Ensure effective communication between nurse, patient, staff, physicians, anesthesia providers and other hospital departments
• Provide quality care in efficient and safe manner for patients from infant to older adults
• Incorporate current clinical knowledge with established nursing practice
