Job description

IT Support Technician (Level 1)

Type of Role :  6 Months to 1 Year Contract

Benefits on Contract :  Medical / Dental / Vision / 401(k)

Location :  Lemont, IL (ONSITE)

Compensation :  $22–$24 per hour

Job Summary :

We are seeking a motivated IT Support Technician (Level 1) to join a client in Lemont, IL. This is a contract position designed to support end users in a fast-paced, onsite environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for customer service.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the first point of contact for end-user IT support via phone, email, and in-person requests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, and network issues
  • Document incidents and service requests in the ticketing system
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level support staff as needed
  • Support Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and basic Active Directory tasks
  • Set up and configure desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Assist with user account management and password resets
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and communication

Required Qualifications :

  • 1+ year of IT support or help desk experience
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10 / 11 and Microsoft Office suite
  • Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, IP addressing)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree or technical certifications a plus)

  • Full-Time, Monday–Friday, Onsite in Lemont, IL
