Consultant For Federal Universal Service Fund

RGP is seeking a seasoned consultant with hands-on expertise in the Federal Universal Service Fund (USF) and related telecommunications tax structures. This is a high-impact, client-facing role that requires deep analytical capabilities, familiarity with legacy billing systems, and a strategic understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks. This position is remote.

What you will work on :

• Lead complex tax calculation and billing projects related to federal and state-level surcharges.
• Analyze and manage surcharge applications including rates, revenues, and exemptions across multiple systems and customer types.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve rate accuracy and ensure synchronization between rate updates and billing charges.
• Assess and streamline certification processes for reseller exemptions and customer status determinations.
• Evaluate compliance timing and the adequacy of certification documentation for various customer categories.

Requirements :

Pay Range $47-62 / hour (DOE). Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
