Show Place Arena / Prince George's Equestrian Center Seasonal Position

The Show Place Arena / Prince George's Equestrian Center is a multipurpose facility owned and operated by The Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning Commission. Part-time opportunities are located at The Show Place Arena / Prince George's Equestrian Center in Upper Marlboro, Md. Work hours are flexible and include evenings, nights and weekends. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age. Salary range of $16.00 / hour - $23.64 / hour depending on position and experience.

Examples of Important Duties

Parking Attendant - Parking Services / Traffic Control / Grounds Maintenance Directs and gives parking instructions to public. Gives public general information pertaining to an event. Secures parking areas including locking gates. Sets up barricades as needed. Maintains parking areas for public safety. Additional duties may be assigned as needed Must be able to work evenings and / or nights, including weekends.

Limited Benefits for Seasonal Employees Health Insurance Plans You are eligible for specific health insurance benefits if you worked, on average, 30 hours per week during your first 12 months of employment or from October 3rd to October 2nd each subsequent period following your first 12 months of employment. This equates to 1,560 hours over a 12-month period. If and when you are eligible for benefits, you will receive notification directly from the Health & Benefits Office. Eligible Employees Pay 35% of the health insurance plan premium and The Commission Pays 65%.
