Job description

Position Title : Medical Assistant

Professional Type : Allied Health Professional

Contract Type : Long-Term Assignment (13 Weeks)

Shift : Day Shift | 40 Hours / Week

  • Schedule may consist of either :

Five 8-hour days (approx. 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM)

  • Four 10-hour days (approx. 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM)
  • Final schedule released 1-2 weeks in advance

    • Hourly Rate : $20.00 - $25.00 / hr

    Assignment Overview :

    We are seeking a Medical Assistant for a 13-week long-term assignment to support a busy medical office. Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and able to work both standard 8-hour and extended 10-hour shifts based on business needs.

    Travel is a key component of this role -the candidate must have a reliable personal vehicle. While the primary office is located in Farmington, CT , frequent travel to Glastonbury, Hartford, Plainville, Avon, and Cheshire is required.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide clinical support including patient intake, vital signs, and assisting with procedures
  • Navigate and document in Epic (if applicable)
  • Maintain high-quality patient care standards across multiple office locations
  • Support physicians and care teams in a fast-paced surgical or outpatient environment

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience (required)
  • Experience in a surgical office setting (preferred)
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR (preferred)
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
