The CNC Operator is responsible for programming setting up and operating 3-axis CNC machinery to produce precision parts and assemblies for custom interactive exhibits. The role involves using CAD / CAM software to interpret designs generate toolpaths and ensure high-quality fabrication in accordance with project specifications and production schedules. This is a Special Project position expected to run 12 / 1 / 2025-03 / 23 / 2026.
Qualified candidates will have but not limited to :
- Minimum 2 years experience with CNC programming in a shop environment;
- Minimum 2 years experience operating a CNC Mill or Router.
- Thorough knowledge of Aspire VCarve or similar CAM software;
- Working knowledge of 3 axis CNC mill / router operation and practices;
- Working knowledge of drafting cabinetmaking and mechanical engineering and methods for communicating both visually and verbally;
- Ability to work with designers and fabrication personnel to resolve mechanical electronic and technical problems related to exhibit design;
