About the Role

The company seeks a strategic leader to oversee a global team of corporate underwriters in the role of Director of Leveraged Finance and Corporate Underwriting. You will be responsible for leading all underwriting activities within the corporate banking, services, and markets sectors, focusing on large, complex corporate and financial sponsor relationships.

In this role, you will drive the adoption of best practices in credit analysis, underwriting, and monitoring. You will provide senior-level credit guidance and work closely with business coverage, capital markets, and risk partners. Additionally, you will manage the leveraged underwriting team and oversee credit execution for sponsor-backed leveraged acquisition finance and highly leveraged corporates.

We are looking for an applicant with a minimum of 20 years of experience, including at least 10 in a managerial capacity. A successful candidate will demonstrate risk management expertise and have the ability to balance risk / return trade-offs effectively. Strong knowledge of global credit risk management standards and complex financing structures is essential.

A Bachelor's degree is required, while a Master's degree is preferred. Exceptional communication, presentation, and decision-making skills are necessary, along with the ability to engage effectively with regulators and internal control functions.
