Become part of our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you will engage with a diverse and complex patient population, focusing on :
Post-operative care for craniotomies, spine surgeries, and stroke patients.Participation in our Comprehensive Stroke Program.Exposure to cutting-edge neurosurgical techniques through the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII).Your Role :

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care, engaging patients and families throughout.Monitor significant changes in patient conditions and adapt care plans accordingly.Implement patient safety strategies and educate patients and families.Coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning and apply evidence-based practices.Evaluate outcomes and participate in initiatives for quality and process improvement.Promote collaboration and resolve conflicts within the healthcare team.Advocate for patient safety and report incidents or near misses promptly.Engage in ethical decision-making and foster positive professional relationships.Participate in professional development activities and stay current on nursing standards.Ensure care is appropriate for the age-specific needs of your patients.Licensure and Certification :
Must possess a Registered Nurse license in the practicing state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.Education and Experience :
An accredited nursing program must be completed.1 year of clinical nursing experience is typically required.Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
