DESCRIPTION : The Communications Support Specialist develops, organizes, and manages corporate-level communications and standard operating procedures. This role reviews, updates, and edits communications related to corporate matters, collaborating closely with various departments to ensure clear, accurate, and effective messaging.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create and update content for company web pages as needed
- Set up, manage, and maintain email distribution lists
- Maintain content within systems like SharePoint and Site Works
- Write, edit, and publish corporate briefings, presentations, and publications
- Maintain and update recurring briefings, such as the Newcomer briefing and its archive
- Review briefings for correct formatting, classification, and consistency
- Build and manage content for government web pages using SharePoint or similar tools
- Help manage and update content on web platforms
- Review team and customer needs to ensure communication materials are effective
- Edit and prepare written, visual, or audio content for communication products
- Help manage the Newcomer Orientation, check-in, and check-out process
- Compile and send out Weekly Activity Reports (WAR)
- Help coordinate briefings for leadership
- Make sure briefings include hyperlinks and are available for review
- Collect and enter data for Readiness Assessments, editing for clarity
- Prepare and share the monthly schedule for daily stand-up meetings
- Create and organize read-ahead materials for leadership briefings
- Use MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint at a Level 2 proficiency
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
An active and current TS / SCI with polygraph clearance is requiredBachelor's Degree in Communications or English or a directly related field (Four(4) additional years of relevant experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree)At least six (6) year’s experience in technical writing or editorial writing.Four (4) year’s experience working in an Intelligence Community (IC) environmentTwo (2) years experience in SharePoint content management.
