About The Position

Location : Alamogordo, New Mexico, USA Specialty : Labor and Delivery Type : Travel Schedule : 3x12s Nights Time : 13 weeks

Seven Healthcare is pleased to offer a travel nursing opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery in Alamogordo, New Mexico. This contract provides a competitive weekly rate of $2,600, based on three 12-hour night shifts.

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

  • Provide safe, compassionate care during all stages of labor and delivery
  • Monitor maternal and fetal health, interpreting vital signs and responding to complications
  • Administer medications and manage pain relief methods as needed
  • Support patients and their families through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthetists, pediatricians, and nursing staff to ensure optimal outcomes
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with hospital policies
  • Respond quickly to obstetric emergencies
  • Educate patients on postnatal care and breastfeeding support

    • Requirements of the Travel Nurse

  • Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or valid Compact license
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
