Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring at least 2 years of recent CVICU experience and proficiency with Epic.
Responsibilities
Position located in the Cardiovascular ICU of a large hospital42-bed ICU specializing in open heart surgery, heart transplants, and LVAD carePatient population includes cases of advanced heart failure, coronary artery disease, pulmonary hypertension, and valvular heart diseaseResponsibilities include immediate post-open heart surgical admissions and careInvolvement with Swan Ganz catheters, cardiac index calculations via manual thermodilution, and epicardial / transvenous pacing wires requiredExperience assisting with bedside bronchoscopies, intubations, tracheostomies, and various line insertions neededUses Epic as the EMR system; Epic experience requiredDay shift (3x12 hours), 7 : 00 to 19 : 00Required to work every other weekendNo on-call responsibilitiesFloating may be required within facility and scope of practiceNo blocked scheduling allowedRole involves providing specialized cardiovascular critical care to complex surgical and cardiac patientsFirst-time travelers will be considered for this assignmentLocal candidates are accepted at the same rateMaximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed; no time off during the first weekIf one major holiday falls during assignment, traveler is expected to work it; if two, both must be worked; if three, two must be workedCompliance with all pre-employment requirements is necessary to begin assignment on timeTravel pairs are not allowed to work the same shift in the same unitRequirements
