Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Position Summary
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides respiratory pharmacologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic modalities to patients across all age groups. This role delivers direct patient care and collaborates closely with physicians, nursing staff, and patients' families to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. The RRT serves as a liaison between clinical departments, providing leadership and expertise throughout the organization.
The therapist exercises independent judgment and decision-making in patient care, in consultation with team members, physicians, and department leadership. This position functions under the direct supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
Education :
Required : Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
Preferred : Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA)-approved associate degree program for Respiratory Therapy or a Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field
Licensure & Certifications :
Required :
Current license from the Ohio Respiratory Care Board
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Required within 90 days of hire :
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
Experience :
Preferred : Previous experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in an acute care or hospital setting
