Driver

Job Objective : Provides passenger transportation and materials pickup / delivery service

Essential Functions :

• Provide client transportation services
• Assist clients on and off vehicle
• Collect fees, issue receipts as needed, and turn in collected funds to office at end of day
• Provide materials pickup and delivery services
• Load and unload materials
• Perform inspection of vehicle(s)
• Perform daily maintenance on vehicle and equipment
• Arrange for service to vehicle(s)
• Report damage, problems or malfunction of vehicle(s) / equipment to management.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications :

Education : High School diploma or equivalent

Experience : Prior driver / delivery experience helpful but not required

Certifications / Licenses : Class E driver's license or above

Skills / Abilities :

Supervisory Responsibility : None

Physical Requirements : Include speaking, hearing and vision; manual dexterity; standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, climbing; lifting, pulling and pushing of materials up to 50 pounds. Travel : None

Driving : Yes. Must possess a valid class E driver's license (or above) from the state of residence. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.

Working Conditions : Work is performed in a vehicle, facility or outdoors
