Carilion Clinic is seeking a full-time, dedicated Neonatologist to join their esteemed group of 10 neonatologists and 5 neonatal nurse practitioners, serving as either the NICU Medical Director or Associate Medical Director at their regional perinatal center in beautiful Roanoke, VA-where you can practice advanced neonatology medicine while embracing a vibrant small-town lifestyle in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

• Provide expert neonatal care at Carilion Clinic Children's Hospital (60-bed regional perinatal center) and Lewis Gale Medical Center (6-bed Level 2 NICU).
• Manage and lead NICU operations as Medical Director or participate as Associate Medical Director, ensuring high-quality clinical care and operational excellence.
• Oversee advanced NICU services including high-frequency ventilation, whole body cooling, and nitric oxide therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and maternal-fetal medicine subspecialists, pediatric surgeons, and neonatology team members.
• Support medical education by working with Virginia Tech School of Medicine students and residents (pediatric and family practice).
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in research projects within the Virginia Neonatal Perinatal Collaborative.
• Provide clinical coverage including day shifts, on-call, and weekend duties as needed.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and participate in leadership meetings and committees.
• This is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area. Relocation may be required.
