Our organization is seeking a seasoned, ambitious Accounting Manager who is ready to take on the dynamic world of manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional looking to leverage their skills in a challenging and rewarding role. The successful candidate will play a key role in our accounting department, contributing to strategic planning, and overseeing general ledger, accounts receivable, and payroll management.

Responsibilities :

As an Accounting Manager, you will be expected to :

1. Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to : accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

2. Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing / billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general and entity accounting.

3. Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

4. Manage monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information; ensure accuracy of financial statements.

5. Provide accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff; respond to financial questions / concerns to meet business needs.

6. Act as a liaison between the company, government, and external accountants to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes.

7. Select and hire accounting staff as needed, train new staff, and provide ongoing coaching and counseling to current staff.

8. Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have :

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.

3. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

4. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

5. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.

6. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

7. Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.

8. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

9. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
