The Florida Department of Health (DOH) is seeking an organized, flexible and motivated individual to become an essential member of the Division of Public Health Statistics and Performance Management. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the following :
Serves as an administrative Contract Manager for the Division of Public Health Statistics and Performance Management
Maintains a thorough knowledge of all contracts and relevant grants assigned to the Division
Manages and maintains Division's contract management tracking logs
Monitors the progress of contracts to ensure timely execution and coordinates with program staff to ensure provider has met all contract terms and conditions
Assures that program staff have access to and understand the most up-to-date documents
Communicates with program staff to complete administrative contract documents
Provides Technical Assistance update FACTS, help resolve payment issues and guidance on proper contract file management
Compiles and loads action into the electronic contract routing system for appropriate review
Ensures audit requirements are conveyed to provider
Ensures contracts are in compliance with required monitorings
Authorizes invoices for payment and reconciles contract expenditures
State agency contract management experience is preferred. Applicants with Department of Health contract management experience preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Knowledge of public health, public administration, health care or social services
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively and concisely
Ability to work independently and cooperatively as a team member
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment (ability to be flexible)
Ability to complete, plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments
Skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook;
Qualifications :
The successful applicant will demonstrate critical thinking skills, flexibility, innovation, and a commitment to improving health care for Florida's residents. Professional experience in social service, public health, or health care is preferred. A bachelor's degree is considered a plus but not required.
