We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing construction team. This is a unique opportunity to apply your accounting skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting principles and practices, with an emphasis on the construction industry. The role will require a high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities :

1. Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, including but not limited to : entries, financials, income statement, monthly reporting, balance sheet, fixed asset accounting.

2. Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability, and accuracy.

3. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.

4. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.

5. Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.

6. Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.

7. Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.

8. Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation.

9. Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company’s automated financial systems.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the construction industry.

3. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.

4. Proficiency in relevant accounting software, such as GL, and experience with fixed assets.

5. Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.

6. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

7. Ability to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization.

8. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams.

9. Professional written and oral communication skills.

10. Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

11. Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.

12. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.

13. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

14. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
