Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking a skilled BIM Coordinator to join a dynamic construction team in Durham, North Carolina. This role focuses on the coordination and management of 3D plumbing models and related information throughout the construction project lifecycle. The BIM Coordinator will ensure the seamless integration of building systems, enhance the efficiency of construction processes, and collaborate with various project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- BIM Modeling and Coordination : Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for plumbing systems, ensuring they align with project requirements and specifications.
- Clash Detection and Resolution : Utilize software like Navisworks and BIM 360 to identify and resolve clashes between plumbing systems and other building components (e.g., structural, HVAC).
- Fabrication and Installation Support : Generate fabrication drawings, spool sheets, hanger layouts, and sleeve locations to support field installation and prefabrication of plumbing systems.
- Collaboration and Communication : Collaborate with project managers, field foremen, engineers, architects, and other trades to ensure seamless coordination and timely completion of the project.
- Quality Assurance and Control : Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of BIM models with project requirements and building codes.
- Document Management : Manage and update BIM project documents, including drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Software Proficiency : Utilize BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks to create, manage, and analyze 3D models.
- Training and Support : Provide training and technical support to internal staff on BIM software and protocols.
- Field Support : Potentially assist with field layout using Total Station and create layout drawings.
- Project Coordination Meetings : Actively participate in project coordination meetings to address issues and ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications
Technical Skills : Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks), experience with clash detection and resolution, and understanding of plumbing systems and fabrication processes.Communication and Collaboration : Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.Problem-Solving : Ability to identify and resolve conflicts and issues related to BIM models and construction processes.Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.Construction Knowledge : Understanding of construction methods, building codes, and industry standards.A 2-year associate's or technical degree is preferred, with 4+ years of experience in the BIM field preferred.Required Work Hours
Monday to Friday, first shift, 8am to 5pm

Pay Range : $29 - $49 per hour
Relocation is not offered for this position. Candidates must be local to the Raleigh / Durham area, as this is a fully in-office position with no chance of remote work.
