Preschool Teacher Bilingual $28-$31 an hour plus benefits

Carlsbad Country Day School is looking to hire a qualified and experienced FULL TIME teacher for our Bilingual Preschool Program. Spanish must be your first language but you must also be fluent in English. Position should be filled by no later than January 1st.

Position is full time, Monday - Friday from 9-6 pm. Position pays $28 - $31 per hour plus benefits.

We are a private school offering a blended approach to teaching. Our school has an academic focus with small class sizes.

Role and Responsibilities will vary as determined by the position offered but max include :

Create, implement and document an engaging, age appropriate curriculum for children.

Maintains professionalism through positive and professional behavior both on and off campus.

Follows policies and procedures set forth by the school and employee handbook.

Participates in activities that promote community wellness within the school.

Attends school social functions and events, up to 4 Saturdays per year.

• Qualifications and Requirements
• Preschool Program
• 12 units of Early Childhood Education / Child Development minimum and ideally either an AA or a BA in any field. Please do not apply if you do not have the 12 ECE units as we will be unable to hire you.
• Infant & Toddler Program
• 12 units of Early Childhood Education / Child Development including 3 units that specialize with Infants and Toddlers.
• Substitute Teacher -
• 6 units of Early Childhood Education Units Completed and enrollment in 6 additional units required. Substitute teacher will be enrolled in or taking the Infant and Toddler Course.

Current CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to complete upon hire

Record of immunizations : current TB test clearance, MMR, DTaP, and annual influenza vaccine.

Must be able to pass random drug screenings and new hire physical.

Previous Clear Live Scan and Criminal Background check required.

Full time flexible hours, Mondays - Fridays, based on the schools needs. 4 Saturdays per year.

• Experience

Minimum of 1 year teaching in a licensed facility.
