The Clinical Nurse II in the Critical Care Float Pool at Albany Medical Center is responsible for implementing physician orders, providing primary and emergency care, and collaborating with nursing teams to create patient care plans. This role allows for gaining critical care skills across multiple units including ICU and Cardiovascular ICU at a Level I trauma center. Candidates must hold a valid NYS Registered Nurse license and have a minimum of 1-3 years of clinical experience in Progressive Care or ICU.

Hourly Range : $34.65 - $35.69

RNs in the Critical Care Float pool also have the opportunity to gain additional competencies in Emergency Department care and neuro-progressive care areas.

Job Description :

• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures

and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local / state / federal

rules and regulations.

Baccalaureate Degree is conferred

(ACLS)

and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement.
