Physician - Pediatrician

Ochsner Childrens is seeking a board certified / board eligible General Pediatrician to join its expanding practice including a pediatric multi-specialty center in Baton Rouge, LA.   We offer comprehensive benefits and competitive salary, including a 2-year guarantee and opportunity for productivity bonus.

The Baton Rouge region is the capital city of Louisiana and has a revitalized downtown area that includes live music, museums, art galleries and top-notch food scenes. We are the only multi-specialty group practice in Baton Rouge that is fully integrated with a hospital facility, Ochsner Medical Center - Baton Rouge. Our facilities are focused on making healthcare accessible by offering digital medicine programs, virtual visits and extended hours.

Our comprehensive Ochsner Childrens program includes 88 primary care pediatricians in 27 locations in Louisiana and Mississippi - and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists (Ochsner Childrens) totaling over 270 physicians. The group is the regions leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for newborns, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. We offer a full range of pediatric complex specialty services including congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation, liver and bone marrow transplantation, a comprehensive surgical sub-specialty group, advanced GI and Hepatology, advanced spine surgery, Hematology-Oncology and AYA Oncology, Cleft Palate / Cranio-Facial Surgery and the regions only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental pediatrics center.

Ochsner Childrens currently cares for patients in a 67-bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a 14-bed PICU, a 12-bed pediatric CV-ICU, a NAEC-accredited level IV 4 bed Pediatric EMU and a 44-bed pediatric acute unit, with a dedicated pediatric emergency room, supported by a 24-7 dedicated pediatric and neonatal transport team utilizing rotary and fixed wing as well as ground transport. And we recently began construction on the building of a new, comprehensive, dedicated 5-story Childrens Hospital on our main campus in New Orleans, with expected opening at the start of 2028.

In addition to direct patient care, Ochsner Childrens Hospital has an ACGME-accredited pediatric residency program and is also responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the Tulane-Ochsner Pediatric Residency program as well as medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland, Australia.Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint allopathic College of Medicine, the Xavier Ochsner College of Medicine which is in the LCME accreditation process currently.Our faculty publishes hundreds of research papers annually and Ochsner participate in numerous multi-center studies and trials.
