Part Time / Variable Shift

The Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. MT / CLS JRN personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
• Upon hire : National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
• Upon hire : National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
• Upon hire : National Medical Technologist - American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
• Upon hire : National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists, or
• Upon hire : National Medical Laboratory Scientist - American Medical Technologist
• 1 year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a department in the laboratory or exceeds principal duties and functions in the MLS I job description.
