Main functions :
- The Quality Assurance Lab Supervisor is responsible for supervising Quality Technicians and Leads, maintaining lab equipment, scheduling employees, inventorying supplies and ensuring all quality, legal and food safety programs are being met, by maintaining quality standards.
Primary Objectives :
Coordinate GSF Quality activities and operations to meet objectives for quality, food safety, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPak.Participate in formulating and administering division's short and long range goals and objectives for business growth.Directly supervise and schedule up to 30 Quality Technicians and LeadsEnsure all Quality personnel follow strict company, state and federal regulations by reviewing and clearing all Quality Records including but not limited to : on-line packaging and product checks, finished product labeling checks, raw and finished product testing, temperature checks, bulk ingredient receiving testing, milk antibiotic testing, and microbial testingResponsible for Production and Laboratory calibrations and the master calibration logPerform lab equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairCoordinating sampling and reporting with Department of AgTracking for USDAOrganize and delegates duties to be completed for suspect productMaintains, collates and reports all written records associated with record reviewInventory and maintaining appropriate levels of Lab SuppliesParticipate in Internal Auditing Team and represent the Lab in internal and external auditsResponsible for updating and creating programs to meet customer standards and Certified Body StandardsAny other duties as requiredEmployment Requirements :
Minimum of five years quality control and / or manufacturing experienceExperience with HACCP programsKnowledge of Lab Analysis methodsWorking knowledge of FDA and PMO regulationsBetter Process School, preferredMicrobiology Certification, preferredBachelor's degree in Food Science or related field, preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :
