Travel Nurse RN - Emergency Room (ER) / Trauma - $2,312 per week in Redlands, CA

The position is in a fast-paced emergency department. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Qualified applicants will have at least 18 months of core staff experience in their first nursing job. Travelers with a history of canceled assignments will not be considered. Experience with pediatrics only will not be accepted. Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility. 24 hours of orientation will be provided. Minimum weekend coverage is every other weekend. The facility utilizes an Omnicell medication system and Meditech for documentation. Provider support includes interpretation services, lift teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory services, social services, and unit secretary. Provider coverage includes intensivists, nurse practitioners, hospitalists, and anesthesiologists. Skills and experience required include general emergency department procedures for both adult and pediatric care. Candidates should be proficient in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, and IV vasopressors. Experience with stroke management, CPAP / BiPAP administration, ventilated patients, isolation precautions, and triage is also necessary. Preferred skills include arterial line management, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration, ICP monitoring, and various trauma care experiences. The patient population will include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census typically averages around 160. Candidates must meet certification requirements at the time of application.
