Senior Ultrasound Technologist - Providence Anchorage

Description

Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer. Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations and physiologic vascular testing. Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol. Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis. Requires credentials from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in a minimum of three specialties including vascular technology. New grads may be allowed to acquire some specialties after hire.

Position is Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Variable Shift, 40 hours per week. Located onsite at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage Alaska!

Required Qualifications :

• Coursework / Training and Completion of ultrasound program (min 1 year in length)
• Associate's Degree In a related health care field Or Credentials with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
• Upon hire : National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Or
• Upon hire : National Registered Technologist - Sonography
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
• Within 6 months (180 days) of hire : National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Upon hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
