Engineering Support Manager - Remote In The US - Financial Portfolio
In this role, you will provide critical operational support for 300+ retail sites nationwide, ensuring compliance, safety, and efficient facility operations through systematic program management. This remote position requires a facilities and engineering background with expertise in MEP systems, safety protocols like lockout / tagout procedures, and technology management including client interfaces and asset management systems. The role includes up to 20% travel across the US for site assessments and stakeholder meetings.
The position combines technical oversight with administrative responsibilities, involving data analysis, PowerPoint reporting, and refrigeration system management. This is an ideal opportunity for an engineering professional who excels at process review and systematic program management while working remotely to support a large retail facility portfolio, with occasional travel to conduct on-site evaluations and collaborate directly with key stakeholders.
Check out some of your day :
- Program Management : Oversee and manage the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) door compliance program, ensuring all facility access points meet regulatory requirements and maintain proper functionality. Coordinate scheduling, tracking, and documentation of ADA door inspections, repairs, and upgrades across the portfolio.
- Technical Review and Compliance : Conduct comprehensive Method of Procedure (MOP) reviews for building engineering operations, ensuring all procedures meet safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational best practices. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop, update, and implement standardized procedures for critical building systems. Partner with the Retail Engineering Program Director to help develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that ensure consistent operational excellence across all facilities.
- Asset Management : Execute asset verification processes to maintain accurate inventory records of building equipment, systems, and components. Coordinate physical inspections, update asset databases, and ensure compliance with asset management protocols and financial reporting requirements.
- Refrigerant Management : Manage refrigerant tracking programs to ensure compliance with EPA regulations and environmental standards. Monitor refrigerant usage, leaks, and recovery activities across HVAC systems. Maintain accurate records of refrigerant inventory, purchases, and disposal in accordance with federal and state requirements. Manage vendors providing refrigerant services, ensuring proper certification and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Operational Support : Provide technical guidance and administrative support to building engineering teams, facilitating smooth daily operations and project execution. Assist in coordinating maintenance schedules, vendor management, and regulatory inspections.
- Documentation and Reporting : Maintain detailed records of program activities, compliance status, and operational metrics. Prepare regular reports on program performance, asset conditions, and regulatory compliance for management review.
Here Is Who We Are Looking For :
Required
5+ years of facilities and engineering experience with a strong understanding of MEP systems, building operations, ADA compliance requirements, and facility management best practicesExperience with safety protocols including lockout / tagout procedures and process review for regulatory complianceProficiency in asset management software, client interface systems, refrigeration management, and Microsoft Office applications (especially PowerPoint and data analysis)Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously across large facility portfoliosExperience with administrative functions in engineering environments including documentation, reporting, and vendor managementPreferred
Professional certifications in facilities management (CFM, FMP) or engineering disciplines.Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards.Pay $90,000-104,000 with a 10% targeted bonus
Schedule : Monday - Friday day shift with on-call 24 / 7 for emergency response
