Special Education Teacher (High School) – Topsham, ME

What You'll Do

Provide individualized instruction and support to high school students with a variety of learning and developmental needs.

Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's goals and abilities.

Collaborate with families, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support academic, social, and emotional growth.

Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that promotes confidence, participation, and progress.

Maintain accurate documentation and ongoing communication with colleagues and caregivers.

Annual salary range : $57,000–$72,000 (based on experience)

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education

Valid Maine Special Education Endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)

Experience working with high school students or transition-age youth with diverse learning needs

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
