Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $1,752 per week in Frankfort, KY

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : RN Specialty : ICU Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting License : Active nursing license in good standing (with compact if indicated) Certifications : BLS required, ACLS required, current NIH (must be certified annually) Must-Have : - 2 years ICU experience - CPAP and BiPAP management - Port access - Therapeutic phlebotomy Description : 2 years of experience in a hospital setting is required. Must have an active nursing license in good standing with compact if indicated. BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Current NIH certification is mandatory and must be renewed annually. The unit consists of 10 beds with a patient ratio of 2 : 1 or 3 : 1. The staffing includes Clinical Nurse Coordinators, Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians, and Nurse Externs. Type of equipment used includes Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers. The documentation system utilized is Meditech Expanse. Scheduling requires every other weekend with three 12-hour shifts. Floating to other departments may be necessary. Experience requirements include at least 2 years in an ICU setting. Advanced skills preferred include experience with chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vacs, drains, post-dialysis assessments, central lines, blood transfusions, and ventilators. Procedures performed on the unit include telemetry monitoring, physician-led paracentesis, BiPAP, and therapeutic phlebotomy. Candidates will have the opportunity to participate in staff and hospital celebrations, including Daisy Nominations.
