Medicaid Collections Specialist

A company is looking for a Collections Specialist I - Medicaid (REMOTE).

Key Responsibilities

Perform collection follow-up on outstanding insurance balances and document account activity

Make outbound calls to insurance payers and handle incoming correspondence regarding claims

Analyze assigned accounts to maximize collection efforts while adhering to compliance standards

Required Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in a related field preferred

0-2 years of experience in medical collections or healthcare revenue cycle operations required

Experience with insurance follow-up and claim resolution preferred

Familiarity with denial codes and accounts receivable processes preferred

Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards, including HIPAA and FDCPA
