Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Rheumatology MD in Alabama!

About The Position

We are seeking a Board Certified Rheumatologist for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in Alabama, starting Aug 25, 2025. The role involves overseeing infusions with day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM. Your primary duties will include supervising a nursing team performing infusions and managing potential patient reactions.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise and oversee the administration of infusions
  • Ensure proper care and immediate response in case of any adverse reactions during treatment
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff to maintain a high standard of patient care
  • Utilize the Nextgen EMR system for documentation and management of patient records
  • Sign controlled substances as required
