Pattern Shop Technician – Minster, Ohio C.A.
Lawton Co. in Minster, OH is seeking a Pattern Shop Technician (Pattern Maker) to join our foundry operations team.
In this role, you’ll learn from experienced team members while working on both individual and group projects.
You’ll use a variety of equipment and hand tools to design, build, and maintain tooling for foundry castings- directly contributing to the success of our operation. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to learn, grow, and make an impact in a supportive team environment.

Pay & Schedule :

$25–$30 per hour (based on experience) 1st Shift : Monday–Friday, 5 : 30 AM – 2 : 00 PM (overtime as needed) What You’ll Do : Operate machinery, equipment, and hand tools Design, build, and maintain tooling Read blueprints and produce precision tooling Work with foam, wood, and / or urethane for prototypes or single-use castings Support foundry operations by understanding processes and workflows Contribute continuous improvement ideas Other duties as assigned What We’re Looking For : Strong record of safety, quality, and reliability Team player with solid communication skills Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and follow instructions Organized and detail-oriented with basic computer skills Preferred Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent CNC or mill experience a plus 2–5 years of experience in woodworking, prototype design, machining, 3D modeling, programming, or pattern making preferred What We Offer : Fixed weekly schedule Benefits available after 60 days Paid holidays & PTO 401(k) with company match Uniforms provided Boot & prescription safety glass reimbursement Tuition reimbursement Growth and advancement opportunities Family-oriented culture where your contributions are valued Apply today and be part of a company where your work makes a difference.
