On-Call Duties : Participation in on-call rotation is required, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be within 30 minutes of the facility during call rotation. (7 days on, 7 days off, 24-hour call on weekends during rotation)

Department / Unit Summary

The Cath Lab department is a multidisciplinary unit dedicated to delivering comprehensive cardiovascular and interventional radiology care. Our highly skilled team of nurses, technicians, and physicians performs a wide array of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including cardiovascular interventions, peripheral procedures and advanced radiology procedures such as port placements, kyphoplasty, tube placements, and ablations.

Key Responsibilities :

Patient Assessment and Preparation : Conduct thorough assessments of patients prior to procedures, including reviewing medical history, obtaining vital signs, and preparing patients both physically and emotionally for the procedure.

Procedure Assistance : Assist cardiologists and other medical professionals during various procedures. This includes preparing and managing equipment, monitoring patient status, and ensuring a sterile environment.

Monitoring and Documentation : Continuously monitor patients’ vital signs and responses during procedures, promptly recognizing and addressing any complications. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, medications administered, and procedural outcomes.

Post-Procedure Care : Provide comprehensive post-procedure care, including monitoring recovery, managing pain and discomfort, and educating patients and families about post-procedure care and follow-up instructions.

Emergency Response : Be prepared to respond to emergencies promptly, utilizing advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) skills to stabilize patients as needed.
