Must be comfortable being the only Respiratory Therapist in-house. Strongly prefer previous travel experience. Description : The role involves managing and setting up ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, high flow oxygen, arterial blood gas (ABG) testing, nebulizer treatments, and conscious sedation. Intubation is required with a physician present in the room; independent intubation experience is preferred. The therapist will treat mostly adult patients, with pediatric cases occurring less frequently, particularly in emergency situations. Responsibilities include administering treatments divided between the emergency room, inpatient floors, operating room, and acute care unit. The team consists of two Respiratory Therapists during the day and one at night. The position requires weekend work every weekend, covering shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. If a holiday falls on a scheduled workday, the therapist is expected to work that holiday. There are no call or standby requirements. Floating is required within the facility. Scrubs are provided on-site, and personal scrubs are allowed. Equipment used includes various brands of ventilators and BiPAP / CPAP devices. A hospitalist is available during the day, with telemedicine services provided at night. All clinicians must clock in and out while on duty.
