Position Description :

Collaborates with software researchers and product owners across the company to conduct user Jobs to Be Done (JTBD), journey mapping, design heuristic evaluation. Applies user research skills, including : user interviews, usability testing, recruiting, synthesis, and analysis, to implement platform graphics and concept models in alignment with consumer needs.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Designs and conducts customer research, identifies the problem from the users' perspective, develops insights and opportunity areas, leads ideation and testing through prototypes.
  • Uses human-centered design to understand people, generates new offerings, and creates new ideas.
  • Works closely with a team of software engineers, User Experience (UX) researchers, and product owners to improve client engagement.
  • Defines the design work and delivers business outcomes on the product team.
  • Designs and tests interfaces that facilitate the human-computer interaction and maximizes the usability of digital devices, websites, and software with a focus on aesthetics and design.

Education and Experience :

Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, or a closely related field and two (2) years of experience as a Senior User Experience Researcher (or closely related occupation) performing User Experience (UX) design for Web and Native applications.

Or, alternatively, Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Psychology, or a closely related field and no experience.

Skills and Knowledge :

Candidate must also possess :

  • Demonstrate Expertise ("DE") identifying and prioritizing unmet business needs using qualitative methods (group and 1 : 1 interview facilitation, ethnographic methodologies, Jobs-to-be-Done theory, and journey mapping).
  • DE applying quantitative or statistical analysis methods (Regressions, ANOVA, or T-Tests) using R or SPSS.
  • DE applying advanced analysis techniques (cognitive psychology, decision making, standardized personality assessment, and behavioral patterns) in various demographic sub-groups.
  • DE analyzing and synthesizing data from partners (strategic research, behavioral science, or analytics) using SPSS or R.
