General Practice Veterinarian (Associate Veterinarian)

Introduction Our client is a warm and welcoming full-service small animal hospital in the scenic CT Valley seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital is proud to serve a loyal client base with exceptional care, deep community connections, and a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere. Working Hours / Rota This is a full-time position with minimal weekend hours and no on-call shifts. Hospital hours are Monday to Thursday from 8 : 00 am to 6 : 00 pm, Friday from 8 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm, Saturday from 8 : 00 am to 12 : 00 pm, and closed on Sundays. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care to small animals, including wellness exams, vaccinations, internal medicine, dental care, and geriatric care. Surgical responsibilities include soft tissue, orthopedic, and dental procedures, as well as spaying, neutering, ocular surgeries, mass removals, and foreign body extractions. The role is open to experienced veterinarians who are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a collaborative setting. Practice Details The hospital offers a wide range of services, from preventive and wellness care to advanced surgical and diagnostic capabilities. Facilities include a fully equipped diagnostic laboratory, imaging equipment, and resources to support internal medicine and surgical caseloads. The practice places a strong emphasis on creating a relaxed and comfortable environment for patients and clients while maintaining a high standard of veterinary medicine. Team The hospital has 2 DVMs and a tenured support staff, fostering a friendly, collaborative culture that prioritizes teamwork and long-term professional relationships.
