What you will do :

The Smoking Aide / Personal Care Assistant must present self in a professional manner, display genuine concern for elderly and act maturely in dealing with others.

Assist with residents who need supervision while smoking.

Assist in maintaining a homelike environment for all residents.

Initiate and promote cleanliness of the residents environment.

Assist with bed making, tidying of rooms, passing water / ice, and closet clean outs.

Verify that assistance is provided to residents for necessary care.

What you need :

High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience.

Six (6) months to one (1) year experience or related experience performing related duties, preferred.

Knowledge of the aging process and residents, preferred.

Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

Skill at working with individuals who have cognitive, physical or sensory disabilities, preferred.

Outstanding interpersonal skills with high level of energy and enthusiasm.
