About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director, Investments to play a pivotal role in the legal and commercial integrity of its capital markets platform. This senior position is responsible for the legal transaction oversight of all tax equity, hybrid, and structured product investments, ensuring compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of investment agreements, provide legal counsel on transaction structures, and support the development of new compliant transaction structures. Additionally, the role involves establishing and maintaining legal governance standards, overseeing post-closing matters, and managing relationships with external counsel. The ideal candidate will have a JD with 12-15+ years' of experience in renewable energy finance, project finance, or structured investments, with a strong background in complex energy finance, tax equity execution, and structured transactions. Applicants for the Managing Director, Investments position at the company should possess a JD with a focus on renewable energy finance, project finance, or structured investments, and have a deep expertise in partnership-flip and hybrid tax equity structures. A strong understanding of tax, legal, and accounting considerations for institutional tax equity investors is essential, as is a proven ability to make high-impact investment and governance decisions. The role requires excellent leadership, judgment, and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with legal, operations, and risk. The candidate should be prepared to obtain FINRA SIE, Series 79, and 63 under the company's sponsorship.
