Senior Asset Manager – Join the Sares Regis Group of Northern California as a Senior Asset Manager. This role is responsible for strategic planning, financial performance, and operational oversight of a designated portfolio of leased and owned assets primarily corporate offices.
The Role
The Senior Asset Manager will focus on maximizing the value and utility of the company’s assets and leases within a sub‑market, ensuring alignment with operational needs, financial objectives, and long‑term real estate strategy. Duties include proactive lease negotiations, property operations management, financial performance analysis, and collaboration with transaction and facilities teams. The role is based in an office setting, 5 days a week, with limited travel.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7‑10 years progressive experience in corporate real estate, commercial asset management, or property management.
- Proven autonomous execution of complex real‑estate solutions and projects.
- Strong financial acumen and advanced financial modeling skills (budgeting, forecasting, NPV, IRR, DCF, Argus).
- Track record managing a portfolio of leased and / or owned office assets.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial office leases.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree (MBA or Real Estate).Professional certifications such as MCR, CPM, or RPA.Knowledge of office property operations, building systems, and capital project management.Experience working with large landlords and local Bay Area jurisdictions.Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.Responsibilities
Strategic Asset Planning
Develop comprehensive asset management plans for assigned properties.Analyze portfolio performance and identify value‑enhancement opportunities.Understand lease terms, obligations, and risk points.Execution Responsibility
Support strategy execution across sub‑markets (acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, etc.).Protect client interests and review analyses and contracts.Compliance
Maintain confidentiality and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.Prepare and manage budgets, capital expenditure plans, and forecasts.Track and manage capital projects, cost‑savings, and financial performance.Lease Management & Negotiation
Support leasing activities including new leases, renewals, cancellations, and subleases.Conduct analysis for terminations and monetization.Review tenant close‑out packages.Ensure compliance with all lease obligations.Property Operations Oversight
Monitor operations for asset maintenance and efficiency.Coordinate with third‑party property managers and oversee fit‑outs.Conduct property visits and engage tenants and local authorities.Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
