Location : Gadsden, Alabama (35903) – Alabama healthcare jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing

Unit : Medical Surgical (Med / Surg)

Shift : 12 Hour Days (6 : 45 AM – 7 : 15 PM), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 16, 2026

Patient Ratio : 6 : 1

Electronic Medical Record : Cerner EMR

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1510 - $1620

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Compact RN License or Alabama Registered Nurse License

BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience

Experience with Cerner EMR preferred

Ability to work every other weekend

Travel nurses must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced hospital setting

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress using Cerner EMR

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions

Float to other nursing units as needed
