Shift : 5x8 DAYS (08 : 00 - 16 : 30). Call requirement : None. Weekend requirement : Yes, rotation. Holiday requirement : Preferred, every other holiday. Patient to therapist ratio : Approximately 1 : 5, with 7-8 visits per day. Common patient diagnoses include stroke, amputees, and post-surgical patients. Special procedures include gait training, therapeutic exercise, balance and transfer training, family training, and discharge planning. Unit details include reporting on patient plan of care and progress once a week at team conference. Physical Therapists work with special equipment such as Lite Gait body weight support treadmill.
