Position : Student Nurse Tech (Future Registered Nurse)
Location : Select Specialty Hospital Phoenix AZ inside Banner University in the 2nd tower on the 11th floor
Schedule : Per Diem
- This position requires current enrollment in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN program) and must provide proof of completion of the first year / fundamentals of nursing (or equivalent).

Obtain vital signs height weight and demographic dataAssist patients with personal and daily care such as bathing oral hygiene shaving and hair careAssist with urinary catheter removal finger stick blood sugars bladder scans routine urine and stool specimen collection ostomy care and emptying drainage receptacles / tubesRemove peripheral IVs as directed by RN (may not remove any IVs located in antecubital fossa or higher)Deliver meals and snacks feed patients who are unable to feed themselves and document oral intakeTurn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment; participate in mobility programTransport patients to designated areas such as to and from various treatment centersQualifications
Current enrollment in an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN program) - must provide proof of completion of the first year / fundamentals of nursing (or equivalent)Knowledge of basic nursing techniques and procedures and aseptic practicesRequires the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to follow written and verbal instructions and to maintain effective working relations with others including patients families physicians and other hospital associates.BLS certification required upon hireAdditional Data
