  • The Accountant – Accounts Payable position is responsible for the processing of all Accounts Payable transactions, including, but not limited to, processing of vendor invoices, maintenance of the Accounts Payable account and the associated subsidiary accounts payable ledger.

    RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Processes accounts payable and allocates invoices in an automated ERP environment.
  • Scan all invoices into the ERP System after approval.
  • Creates and updates allocation spreadsheets, charts and graphs using Excel and other spreadsheet programs
  • Prepare accruals for month-end and year-end closings.
  • Reconciles the accounts payable subledger to control account and vendors statements to Accounts Payable Aging Report for accuracy.
  • Ensures invoices are approved by an authorized individual and coded correctly.
  • Timely records all invoices, investigate unusual items and follow up on pending items.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of three (3) years of recent accounting experience, including processing accounts payable required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (i.e. NetSuite) required.
  • Excellent financial analysis abilities are highly preferred.
  • SKILLS :

  • Ability to reconcile and / or balance financial documents and accounts.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Demonstrates written & verbal communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain composure during stressful situations occurring as a result of workloads and / or deadlines.
