- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current, active RN license in the State of Missouri.
- Current CPR / BLS certification (AHA-approved)
- Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, public health, school nursing, or special education settings preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration, to students with severe disabilities.
- Support individualized education programs (IEPs) by delivering health-related interventions and documentation.
- Respond to urgent and emergent medical needs on campus.
- Monitor and manage chronic health conditions (e.g., seizures, respiratory issues, tube feedings, etc.).
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, therapists, and administrators to promote student health and safety.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school, district, and state requirements.
- Ensure infection control, emergency preparedness, and compliance with DESE policies.
