Position Summary :
- The Controller is responsible for financial oversight, strategic planning, and compliance within Falcon Construction.
- This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and implementing internal financial controls.
- The Controller serves as a key advisor to executive leadership on financial health and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
Financial Oversight & Reporting Manage and oversee all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Develop and maintain financial reports for executive leadership.Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.Budgeting & Forecasting Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting and forecasting.Monitor company cash flow and financial performance to identify risks and opportunities.Provide strategic financial insights to support company growth initiatives.Internal Controls & Compliance Establish and enforce internal controls to ensure financial integrity.Oversee tax compliance, filings, and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for financial transparency.Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight Supervise and improve A / P and A / R processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.Implement best practices for managing vendor payments and customer invoicing.Support collection efforts to maintain strong cash flow. Financial Strategy & Executive Liaison Act as a key financial advisor to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations.Support financial decision-making through data analysis and reporting.Assist in evaluating financial risks and opportunities for business expansion.Qualifications & Skills :
Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls .Experience with construction accounting and job cost reporting preferred.Proficiency in QuickBooks, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite .Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently while supporting executive leadership with financial planning.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with vendors, clients, and internal teams.Physical Requirements :
