Position Summary :

  • The Controller is responsible for financial oversight, strategic planning, and compliance within Falcon Construction.
  • This role focuses on ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, overseeing budgeting and forecasting, and implementing internal financial controls.
  • The Controller serves as a key advisor to executive leadership on financial health and growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Financial Oversight & Reporting Manage and oversee all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain financial reports for executive leadership.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Lead financial planning processes, including annual budgeting and forecasting.
  • Monitor company cash flow and financial performance to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to support company growth initiatives.
  • Internal Controls & Compliance Establish and enforce internal controls to ensure financial integrity.
  • Oversee tax compliance, filings, and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for financial transparency.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight Supervise and improve A / P and A / R processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices for managing vendor payments and customer invoicing.
  • Support collection efforts to maintain strong cash flow.   Financial Strategy & Executive Liaison Act as a key financial advisor to executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Support financial decision-making through data analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in evaluating financial risks and opportunities for business expansion.
  • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls .
  • Experience with construction accounting and job cost reporting preferred.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite .
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting executive leadership with financial planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Primarily office-based role with minimal physical demands.
  • Occasional travel for financial audits, meetings, or site visits as required.
