Fire Battalion Chief
IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Fire Battalion Chief FULL-TIME Opportunity
Sa lary : $105,000 Annual Salary
Work Hours : 56 hour-work week position in the field. Working a 48 / 96 schedule (48 hours on, 96 hours off)
We’re hiring Battalion Fire Chiefs withdemonstrated abilities as a proactive leader, a strong communicator, and a highly engaged officer with strong and ethical decision-making abilities. They will be focused on high standards of customer service and operational effectiveness and efficiency and will embrace developing and maintaining relationships both within the organization and within the community. Additionally, the ideal candidate will exhibit integrity, loyalty, commitment to lifelong learning, courage in his / her convictions, and a passion for the fire service.
Minimum Required Qualifications :
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Fire Science, Business, Leadership, Public Administration, or another similar field; or, currently enrolled in one of the previously mentioned Bachelor’s programs with a graduation date prior to January 2024 (must be able to demonstrate current enrollment).
- Ten (10) years of full-time Fire / EMS experience, including at least three (3) years at the rank of company officer or higher in a career department.
- Arizona or National EMT Certification or ability to obtain within six months.
- Fire Instructor I – IFSAC or Pro Board.
- Fire Officer I – IFSAC or Pro Board.
- Successful completion of IS 100, 200, 700, and 800.
Preferred Requirements :
A Master's degree from an accredited university or college in Fire Science, Business, Leadership, Public Administration, or another similar field.Ten (10) years of full-time Fire / EMS experience, including at least five (5) years at the rank of Battalion Chief or higher in a career department.Arizona or National Paramedic Certification or ability to obtain within six months.Incident Safety OfficerFire Instructor II – IFSAC or Pro Board.Fire Officer II – IFSAC or Pro Board.Successful completion of IS 100, 200, 700, 800; and ICS 300 and 400.Certified as a Blue Card Incident Commander Instructor.Designated as a Chief Training Officer (CTO) or Chief Fire Officer (CTO) or Chief EMS Officer (CEMSO)
